Rates Amendments

The 3rd Supplemental List 2008 was received and it was noted that the property 11 Ballacriy had received a temporary rateable value reduction. It was agreed that, since the reason for the reduction had now been removed, this reduction should be opposed.

Banking

Correspondence was received from DOLGE, advising local authorities that, in view of the current world banking crisis, care should be taken to place reserves in as safe an institution as possible. It was noted that all of the Board’s balances were on deposit with the Isle of Man Bank.

An e-mail was also received from the Isle of Man Bank, assuring customers that the bank was in a good state.
