There'll be Junior events from 6pm & then 'Adults' at 7pm, which will include our 'Marathon' for runners over a 5.5mile (approx.) road course -- also an event for walkers over the same course. No timekeepers & no judges -- this is a 'fun' event, but those taking part take it pretty seriously!

Many of our local athletes have competed at LCK over the years & really enjoyed it! Recent winners of the 'Marathon' / Jubilee Cup: Paul Jackson, Paul Clarke, Mike Garrett, Paul Curphey, Robbie Callister, Tom Cringle &, last year, Mike Gellion. Ladies winner Sarah Nelson. Winning walkers have included Bridget Kaneen, Peter Kaneen & Simon Cox.

Hope to see more of you there this year. Road route for both the runners & walkers:

Report from around 6.30pm at LCK Field, this year in the 'new' field opposite Douglas Rd junction, Ballabeg. To be started at 7pm on pavement opposite the Chapel. Head a short distance north to Ballabeg corner & then west to Colby. Pass Colby Bridge & then beyond The Level cross left, with care, into the road heading south to Croit-e-Caley and down to minor road behind Kentraugh. Turn left at junction & follow road to come out on Shore Road, Rushen. Turn left again along pavement to come back into Arbory Parish at the bottom of Fishers Hill. Keep left on pavement up & over the hill then down other side towards Castletown. But turn left at next junction to take you onto the long straight at Ballakaighen & on to Ballabeg. At the LCK Field turn left through the gate, pass between the tents & then across to do a short lap on marked course to the finishing line.
